Does anyone know what the kernel developers have done to the kernel (2.4.0-test6 and test7) that puts the modules in different places in /lib/modules/<kernel_version> ?
If I reboot my machine to the new test kernel, it locks up because it cannot find modules. I found out the hard way and my system got sort of trashed, losing some config files such as /etc/inetd.conf. Fortunately, I had a backup. -- Andrew BTW, I am using test kernel 5 and don't have this problem with it, only test 6 and 7.
