SVGA occupies more memory, but provides acceleration for lots of
chipsets.
In an ISA video card from '93-'94 I use SVGA, for example.
Strange your card does not appear in the programs. Read the model that
appears in the chipset of the video card and try to get documentation for
it. Perhaps it will function under other name because the same card with a
little difference has two different names...

Think about some ideas:
I prefer to go under a Linux problem than with a Windows problem,
because
the Windows problem usually has not solution and this is very frustrating.
The computer is extremely stupid. An 'I will win' attitude will guide
you
to everyhere you want.
If you add to the Debian hordes, in twenty years it will be installed
with
vitual reality. In fifty, with telepathy :)
P.S. Under this science-fiction mess, I'm sure vi will still be used.
Debian is the more authentic entity I've seen since Motörhead.
