imagine needing to kill a mosquito, and having someone hand you an atomic-powered, planet-smashing axe. that's how i think of what you can do with procmail recipes. i'm pretty sure [y'all stomp on me if i'm off, here] that a .forward file would be a tepid, drab subset of the things you can do in .procmailrc file. > 2. Do I need to have mh installed? well, i don't. draw your own conclusions. :) > Anything else I should know about? I'm going by the quick start > webpage written my Nancy Mc Gough. delightfully written, isn't it? clear and informative, good illustrations and examples. just like microso~1 documentation. not. once you get the hang of those bizarre-syntax procmail recipes, see if you can grok the exim config stuff. procmail is used toilet paper compared to exim's amazing powers. (they serve different needs, but some of the functionality overlaps. depends on what you need, as to which process you'd get to do it.)
