A clarification: I concentrated on linux-wlan-ng-0.1.16-pre8. Tried all the permutations of loading modules and posted a number of questions to the linux-wlan-ng user's list but have only succeeded in making the green light on the Actiontec Wireless USB Adapter turn on as the system is shut down for reboot.
Nevertheless I remain convinced the adapter should work. Why? 1. kudzu -s followed by less /etc/sysconfig/hwconf reports the device present by name, vendorID 1668 and deviceID 0421. 2. less /proc/bus/usb/devices reports vendorID 1668, deviceID 0421 and driver prism2_usb. 3. depmod -n |grep 1668 outputs a line starting with prism2_usb and including vendorID 0x1668 and deviceID 0x0421. 4. Jacek Pliszka says "Actiontec USB 802.11 card (I love it too)" Nonetheless, I haven't been able to make it work. Just today I downloaded linux-wlan-ng-0.1.16-pre9. Still no luck. tom george -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
