I use one called gShield, which is very easy to use and has a nice configuration file. You don't have to worry about the ipchains semantics yourself, just tell it what you do and don't want open. It seems to work quite well, but maybe too aggresively blocks some things. Another one I have looked at lately is just called rc.firewall, and seems to be pretty comprehensive. I haven't actually used it though, just looked at it.
