my ipmasq (via ipfwadm) seems fine. once windon't is up and running, 
all is well (and my mac has no trouble ever). i'll try the dialup net 
removal shortly.

we've gone to http://grc.com/ for just that purpose. nice site, especially
for microso~1 customers who odon't know their default netbios settings can
attract maggots.

did you suffer ill consequences from skipping the port scan? (i.e. someone
wearing a not-white hat scanned them for you?)
