I'd suggest blackbox. Of the ones I've tried - which include Window
Maker, blackbox, Enlightenment, Sawmill (and its descendant Sawfish),
and AfterStep - blackbox had the smallest resource footprint. It's
pretty minimal, but it worked quite well.
