I have just discovered after an extraction from a back up tar.gz archive that some of my directories have turned into files.
They look the right size for the old directories but I can't cd into them. Is there a way to tell the system these files are in fact directories? Oh yes. They all appear to be directories that had other links to them. Paul Clark
