Besides the above replies, I think he also may have been asking what the Debian logo symbolizes -- among other things -- (as in "Where did the idea for the logo come from?" maybe.
I could be wrong, but doesn't it come from a Genie (smoke swirling out of a Genie bottle)? Or am I way off base about that? :-)
