as of a few kernels ago in potato (at least a few months ago but i can't remember when) apm support *is* enabled but you have to turn it on with an option in your lilo.conf. i know this works cause i use it all the time on my laptop. to get apm add this to your lilo.conf (run lilo) and reboot: append="apm=on" > I don't remember how to change the screen saver settings, but a quick > search of the Debian Mail archives should turn up something for you, as > that's discussed fairly regularly on this list. check out the command xset. i believe that is what you want. adam.
