It's a rather annoying occurrence, primarily centered around (I'm guessing here), Mutt and PGP.
99% of all email that I get in this format is unreadable (I do have PGP and the proper plugins for my, unfortunate, Windows machine's mail clients). The other 1% that does open is terribly screwed and barely readable. :(
Most of the time the error is: "An error has occurred: Found detached sig, no callback." Then, it fails to open and must be destroyed.
