I am looking to use PLIP to network 2 machines together. I'm running kernel 2.2.14, and have the PLIP module available, along with the other obvious modules like TCP/IP, firewalling, etc.
However, upon modprobe plip, i get the error: /lib/modules/2.2.14/net/plip.o: init_module: Device or resource busy lsmod shows: Module Size Used by parport_probe 3140 0 (autoclean) parport_pc 7236 0 (autoclean) parport 7080 0 [parport_probe parport_pc] tulip 30232 1 (autoclean) nls_iso8859-1 2236 1 (autoclean) vfat 8956 0 (unused) fat 28800 0 [vfat] smbfs 25424 0 (unused) I don't have an lp module installed (or IRQ taken up) so I don't know what the problem could be.
