Hi, I'm wondering whether it'd be useful to keep track of Debian users who download the packages via apt-get (from the main site)? I think it would; suppose you can have a list of the users with their information like: names, email addresses, cities, countries, number of installed systems, the fields they are working in, etc. The info could be entered by each user into a file in his/her systems and then apt-get would upload the info to the main site (www.debian.org). Later, other users could get some of the info; for example by country or by city.
The purpose is, well, nothing but statistics. (Hey, some people like seeing statistics, you know.) Oki
