Judging from this: HAL9000:~# grep-available -P -X blackbox Package: blackbox Priority: optional Section: x11 Installed-Size: 282 Maintainer: Brent A. Fulgham <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Architecture: i386 Version: 0.51.3-11 Provides: x-window-manager Depends: libc6, libc6 (>= 2.1.2), libstdc++2.10, xlib6g (>= 3.3.5), gettext Suggests: menu (>= 1.5) Filename: dists/frozen/main/binary-i386/x11/blackbox_0.51.3-11.deb Size: 103506 MD5sum: ba430d49dc6583e5988f60bb824d0835 Description: Window manager for X I'd say you might be missing one of the packages listed on the line Depends: At a guess check and see if you have xlib6g installed. That sounds to be a likely candidate. Though if you installed blackbox via one of the "usual" methods the system should have installed any packages that are depended on. Are you by chance doing an install from a tar.gz or maybe even compiling from source? -- Mike Werner KA8YSD | "Where do you want to go today?" ICQ# 12934898 | "As far from Redmond as possible!"
