I'm planning to get a 3D-accelerated graphics card, and I was hoping to get some suggestions on which ones are well supported by Linux. The main requirement is that it must be a PCI card, since the system in question doesn't have an AGP slot.
The two which seem promising so far are the Matrox Millennium G200 and the 3dfx Voodoo3 300. Any particularly good or bad experiences with these cards? Any others I should consider? One other I was particularly interested in was the Diamond Stealth III s540... unfortunately it looks like XFree86 and Mesa don't support this one (XFree was a definite *maybe*, tho). If I'm mistaken here, please let me know. Thanx!
