Me too, but I think I fixed it. Don't hold me to this: I wasn't able to get xdm to work after upgrading my X packages. I fooled around with the xfree config file and now all is well. I use xfstt, and that's where my problem seemed to be. This is how I changed the xfree config file to get everything sailing smoothly again: Section "Files" RgbPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/rgb" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/:unscaled" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/:unscaled" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1/" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo/" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/" FontPath "inet/127.0.0.1:7101" EndSection Don't ask me why this works better (as opposed to a long string of FontPath variables) but it does. -- David J.
