Yep. BIOS (which LILO uses to load itself and the kernel) does not like media with 2048 byte sectors. If you want to boot off MO, then you must not use the 640MB media --- any smaller ones, from 230MB to 530MB, will work fine because they all have 1024 byte sectors. -- Chuan-kai Lin
