Hy, list people.
I would like to know if i can send kernel compilation problems
(on Debian Linux, of course) to this list.

If i can't, please someone can tell me where can i post this type
of question?

Else, (and then i can post :-) somebody can tell me what happened
with the 'zImage' target on the Kernel's top-level Makefile? Here is what
i did:

        1. ftp ftp.kernel.org (get kernel-2.3.40, latest stable kernel
until now) tar/gz format.

        2. (as root) tar xvfpz kernel-2.3.40.tar.gz into /usr/src/ dir.

        3. (as root, in the /usr/src/linux dir) make menuconfig (my
favourite) and configure the kernel. (no troubles here)

        4. (yeat as root, same dir that above) make dep; make clean

        5. (as root, too. Same dir) make zImage
At this point, the shell answers "No target 'zImage'."

But i've read the Kernel README file, an it says that i need type
'make zImage' to compile the kernel.

        Can someone here help me?
Thanks in advance for all that can help me.

        []'z
