Just install in slink apt, edit your /etc/apt/sources.list so that apt can find potato (add a line http/ftp site potato main contrib non-free), and remove the 'stable' line.
Now you do: apt-get update apt-get dist-upgrade apt-get upgrade apt-get dselect-upgrade and... when all goes well YOU HAVE POTATO (apt downloads automatic). Ron
