When I tried to move java40.jar to any of the directories in my java
CLASSPATH for netscape 4.61 I get an error about an invalid ELF header
when I launch netscape. I moved netscape 4.08 from hdb(/hd2 on my
system) to hda and it didn't work ( I originally installed it manually
in /hd2/usr/local/netscape and copied it to /usr/local/netscape and it
wouldn't launch from hda). So I downloaded and installed Netscape 4.61
on hda in /usr/local/netscape. After I got 4.61 to launch and run java
on hda, I deleted 4.08 from hdb and 4.61 can't find java40.jar anymore.
I just have a couple of questions.

1. Why the invalid ELF header for moving java40.jar to one of the
directories the netscape error tells me are in my current $CLASSPATH?

2. Where can you find and edit the $CLASSPATH?

Any input greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Steve
