more or less one week ago, i see in this lists the report of a S3
Trio3D video card that refuses to work in SVGA, just accepting VGA
and now i face the same problem, is there some way to overcome this
failure ?
the SuperProbe gives the following result:
First video: Super-VGA
Chipset: S3 Trio3D (PCI Probed)
Memory: 4096 Kbytes
RAMDAC: Generic 8-bit pseudo-color DAC
(with 6-bit wide lookup tables (or in 6-bit mode))
but X11 has not worked either with the SVGA or the S3 xservers, only
with the VGA16 server
