Sorry, it was the infamous "typo" :-( : In /etc/X11/xfs/config, I had : default-resolutions = 100,100,75<period>75 instead of : default-resolutions = 100,100,75<comma>75 Oh, my aching eyes. All is now well. Cheers, Howard.
