After upgrade from slink to potato the Swedish characters åäö are not displayed any longer either in console or in X. The keyboard is a Keytronic with Swedish layout. The Swedish keymap has been loaded: loadkeys /usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty/se-latin1.kmap.gz.
Also this keymap has been made the default by using the script kbdconfig written to file /etc/kbd/default.keymap.gz. Which script in /etc/init.d/ controls the font loading? Which are the correct entries in /etc/kbd/config? What is still missing? Svante
