I should not say that Debian installation including sound and CD-ROM was a piece of cake. It takes me about 2-3 months to use all Debian things from scratch. And I am only running it in text console mode. With RAM 16 MB you should have quite large swap partition (more than 30 MB) to run X Windows normally. My primary use for this machine as my primary post one. So keep it for writting mail and study of Debian features. For good graphics and games you need good Pentium II/AMD K6 or like.
