It would be helpful to know what mail client(s) is being used, and try to telnet to the POP3 server on port 110 from one of the dialup machines. Also what happens in the log when someone tries to connect? check /var/log/daemon.log it should appear there. or /var/log/syslog. mine: Dec 8 12:46:23 bebo ipop3d[18484]: pop3 service init from 208.222.179.241 Dec 8 12:46:23 bebo ipop3d[18484]: Auth user=tusk host=max48-ppp241.evt0.firetrail.com [208.222.179.241] nmsgs=1/1 Dec 8 12:46:24 bebo ipop3d[18484]: Logout user=tusk host=max48-ppp241.evt0.firetrail.com [208.222.179.241] nmsgs=1 ndele=0 Dec 8 12:46:24 bebo ipop3d[18435]: Logout user=pcolyar host=max48-ppp251.evt0.firetrail.com [208.222.179.251] nmsgs=0 ndele=50 nate ----------------------------------------[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ]-- Vice President Network Operations http://www.firetrail.com/ Firetrail Internet Services Limited http://www.aphroland.org/ Everett, WA 425-348-7336 http://www.linuxpowered.net/ Powered By: http://comedy.aphroland.org/ Debian 2.1 Linux 2.0.36 SMP http://yahoo.aphroland.org/ -----------------------------------------[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ]-- 12:41pm up 111 days, 25 min, 2 users, load average: 1.79, 1.74, 1.66
