A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far way, someone said... > > I use Gateway.net for an ISP and have been > unsuccessful in retrieving their IP addresses for > their name servers. Does anyone else use gateway.net? > And if so, do you know the IP addresses?
Alas, I do not, but how about this for a solution: * install bind * change /etc/resolv.conf to make your name server 127.0.0.1 This makes your computer a cacheing name server. All it does is look up IP#s, and remember them (hence the 'cacheing' in it's description). Very easy to manage. -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Phil Brutsche [EMAIL PROTECTED] "There are two things that are infinite; Human stupidity and the universe.
