Can anyone help? There was a discussion on this about a month ago, check the list archives for details. The subject was "How to save real audio files?". To summarize: there's a kernel module or two to do this with the kernel drivers, and the ALSA drivers include support by default. i couldn't manage to get recording to mp3 to work well, i always ended up with massive skipping after the first few seconds. Maybe it would work if you use a machine and encoder fast enough to work in realtime, or use some sort of buffering system between the input stream and the encoder. - -- finger for PGP public key. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 2.6.3ia Charset: noconv iQCVAwUBOC54yL7M/9WKZLW5AQFUEAP+OjE7LOIy16/dqj0TFLJWGncwjVMV44tN jmZdltC3L8D9KCWfUXCHTvTQtKwuxg653tkYxS04fZ1Ezm08S+OONTSPl5p4Mkuu Psr1p6Ol74G9Lr1tQONZUvT482EXvU6Gr+VMZKbYzODHLutw1cHudJkj99qDYrsa b0w2OwVEDHU= =OzRw -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
