I don't know the solution to this guy's problem, but here's a non-literal translation of his problem, in case someone else might be able to help him:
He wants to install linux on his PC, so he created a rescue floppy, and can boot from that OK. His problem comes when he needs to select a hard drive. He has 2 IDE drives that show up OK as /dev/hda and /dev/hdc, but the SCSI hard drive does not show up. This is the hard drive he wants to install to.
