Dselect is hanging when I do an update. I get the following: Reading Package Lists... Done Building Dependency Tree... Done Merging Available information Replacing available packages info, using /var/cache/apt/available.
And it just hangs there. apt-get upgrade works fine, so I've been doing that, but I wondered if anyone has any suggestions. Also, when it hangs and I try to kill it, I can't kill the following process using kill -9: /usr/bin/dpkg --update-avail /var/cache/apt/available Thanks.
