I would like to install/upgrade the fvwmconf package but cannot because of an apt-get error regarding the perl package. What should I do?
When downloading fvwmconf, several perl packages are also downloaded. During the configuration state, the error I get is this: E: This installation run will require temporarily removing the essential package perl-base due to a Conflicts/Pre-Depends loop. This is often bad, but if you really want to do it, activate the APT::Force-LoopBreak option. E: Internal Error, Could not early remove perl-base What should I do? Is it a good thing that this stopped me, or should I override this? And if so, how do I override this? Thanks. -- David J. Kanter [EMAIL PROTECTED] Debian 2.1
