you have to use redhat to use 2.2 ? i've been using slink since around kernel 2.1.90 (used slackware before that). i heard redhat was crap, the closest i've ever gotten to a 'redhat' system was linuxppc (which i couldnt get installed). nothin stoppin you from running 2.2 on slink. although i demand 2.0.36-.38 for my servers i run 2.2.10 on my home machine, runs great(although this BP6 is the biggest piece of shit ive ever used)
