Unless there's a new version of the package available, dselect will realize that nothing needs to be done for the package and therefore will do nothing with it. If there is a new version available, [with the default layout] it will show up at the top under a heading "Updated packages", and unless you take action (hold, for example) it will download and install the new version for you. This is generally considered a good thing. - -- finger for PGP public key. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 2.6.3ia Charset: noconv iQCVAwUBOA6nir7M/9WKZLW5AQHjKwP7BSWmb1a9N3xAuAILvQ9RUKVe7TJiAnfM xb6aSoF6g9DBu9oYiFmj+OCVGSiyTipl24Vn6U3OvNmav6Q/s119oC9ByMCnZX4J VJmOUu5RLp9WYnpEZQIVHo2KmXIU8ZwU7dILgeEOl25JIAzPw7RRupf5eOLONiPP v1gSzpa/oZs= =z1lJ -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
