Hi, It appears that the the other directories are just symbolic links. In other words, opening "stable" is the same as opening "slink".
When I first installed linux, I had to figure out all of this stuff, as I copied the entire slink CD to my hard drive under win95, and had to fix up all of these links manually! It wasn't that hard compared to moving all of the binary-all files to the binary-i386 directories for each section.
