Hi, I am using my linux machine as a firewall, eth1 is connected to the internet and eth0 is for my local network. The local network only exists of the firewall and another computer connected via a cross-wired utp cable. Everything works fine, but if i turn off the second computer, my kernel starts giving messages like this every 15 minutes or so:
Oct 10 23:57:48 nuclear kernel: eth0: transmit timed out, status 0073, resetting. Oct 10 23:57:48 nuclear kernel: Ring data dump: dirty_tx 0 cur_tx 16 (full) cur_rx 0. Beside that it is quite annoying, it sometimes locks up my computer. Has anyone any suggestions what the problem could be? I'm running kernel 2.0.38.
