Try going into dselect, then select perl-5.005-base, perl-5.005,
perl-5.005-doc, and perl-base.  This should force you get all of the
perl-5.004 packages removed while upgrading to perl-5.005. The problem
is you need to select perl-base to replace perl.

p.s. That attachment was not given the correct mime-type. It came up as
application/x-unknown here, while it should have been text/plain. Check
your mail program.
