My LILO was recently upgraded with a standard potato run. I didn't notice anything wrong at the time, as I didn't reboot the computer. However, I did so today, to find that I am unable to boot any 2.2.x or 2.3.x kernel. I am currently running off of a 2.2.12 kernel on floppy (which works ok) but even after checking my lilo.conf, rerunning LILO, and reinstalling the zImage(the same one that boots fine from floppy... I made the floppy from the image lilo is pointed at) My computer still halts while trying to uncompress the kernel. I get something like:
Loading Linux......... Uncompressing ... crc error <something I don't remember> But this should be the relevant info. Has anyone else run into this before? Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks in advance. --Evan -- Evan Van Dyke E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Page: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ICQ#: 15442232 DNRC's Minister of Lost Internet Packets.
