This is how I've been able to sucessfully use DHCP with Debian slink. I use version 2.0 of ISC's DHCP client (http://www.isc.org/view.cgi?/products/DHCP/index.phtml). Unfortunately, there aren't any .debs available for this version, and I wouldn't trust what's the version of dhclient included in Debian, so you'll have to compile it from source. Here's the /etc/dhclient.conf that I use:
send host-name <the host name you want to use, in quotes>; request subnet-mask, broadcast-address, routers, domain-name, domain-name-servers; script "/etc/dhclient-script"; -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Phil Brutsche [EMAIL PROTECTED] "There are two things that are infinite; Human stupidity and the universe.
