I would recommend bk2site, depending on how demanding your needs are. http://multiagent.com/bk2site/ It's in potato. I've not used the "slashdot-like" features yet, so it will take a little configuration, but I presume it's straightforward. (look at http://multiagent.com for an example configuration)
