I have xemacs21 installed with auctex and x-symbol installed. x-symbol gave some error messages during instellation (I couldn't keep up, if needed I can reinstall it)
I tried to add to .emacs these lines in order to make the packages work: (require site-tex) (x-symbol-initialize) (require site-tex) causes a message to apear whenever opening a tex file: file mode specification error: (error "cannot open doc string file \"/usr/lib/xemacs-21.1-p2/i386-debian-linux/DOC\"" and I lost the highlighting, when I manually did: M-x latex-mode and turn font-lock on I got it back and the Latex menu (I also got the latex-math menu) (is this auctex?) (x-symbol-initialize) returned an error message: error in init file: symbol's function defenition is void: x-symbol-initialize Thanx [EMAIL PROTECTED]
