Hi, I also have a JVC SCI CDROM (reader/writer) that I use with a PCMCIA "Bus Toaster" SCSI-adapter, which is MUCH more reliable (at least on Windows 95) as it stays spun up, and hardly ever gets an error like the H45 Quick CD.
The reason I haven't tried this yet is that no one responded to my post a while back. ALSO, I noticed the message about the Thinkpad and modem. I have a Hayes Optima 336 data/fax card. I was hoping to use this on linux when I get a PPP ISP and get off AOL. Am I to understand that this won't work on linux on a THinkpad 560?
