Hi, All, I recently upgraded by home computer and installed slink from CD. The install went smoothly except that I can't get X working (3.3.3 from netgod.net). The motherboard has a Sis 530 chipset with embedded 6326 AGP. I see from the XFree86 website that support for this was added/fixed in 3.3.5.
Has anyone got this chipset working with Debian? Will I need X 3.3.5, and if so: Is anyone working on a 3.3.5 package? Can I compile it on slink or should I upgrade to potato (I run potato with no problem at work, but was going to wait for official CD's before upgrading at home to avoid a long modem session(s))? What's involved in compiling X for Debian? -Chris -- |------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Christopher D.
