Do those other boxes have as complicated an /etc/X11/Xsession file as Debian provides? By default, Debian makes sure various random things are properly set up before going ahead and starting your .xsession || running the window manager from /etc/X11/window-managers || running /usr/bin/x-window-manager || running /usr/bin/x-terminal-emulator. Also, if you have ssh installed, ssh-agent may be taking a few extra cycles to start as well. - -- finger for PGP public key. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 2.6.3ia Charset: noconv iQCVAwUBN82W8L7M/9WKZLW5AQES5wP9FvTNEe/97vNQ9t/pxpKhkX0I9PxJClrd /eTMoD2csXwOZ4DemcIrHFh0X3zZVofnfK9/OT64mmmBZnUNNlpPldmv0kz+g+Wa 8NK6BbMOvbfmEPf2hmtA209H5qT9HK7e3FL75A2U5flzVEbe0wW73BLpml7omcyx N/ZgeoUDO8A= =S+3B -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
