Hi all, My root password on my home box was compromised a couple of weeks ago as I telnetted in from work and I had to change it in a hurry. I did so, changed it again to make sure there was no chance the person who "eyeballed" me entering the old password had been able to use it and then devoted myself to making my displeasure clear.
That was two weeks ago. Last night I realised I have NO idea what the root password is now. I'm fairly sure I remember the first three letters but that's it. Can I recover this installation? Help please. Patrick
