Memory question / concern, First off, I am running a bleeding edge potato box and know that I will get bitten more than once ;-) I just had the strangest thing happen, I was on vc5 when everything just sorta stopped (interactive wise) but the dis activity went into overdrive. I also had a bunch of X apps running. Then all kinds of programs and my ppp got killed. several messages popped up stating such-n-such out of memory.
System config Potato box built from scratch not yet 4 days old, Kernel 2.2.10 486 dx2 66Mhz 32 MB 64 MB swap (lots of fun to see just how far I can drive this dino :-) I have seen mentioned memory leaks in a couple of messages but nothing exact. Have I been bitten by a memory hole in the kernel? I have never had this happen before on my slink system, even running mem hogs like star office and netscape and xemacs simultaneously.
