Just a couple of quick questions: Firstly, I'm running two machines in a LAN, which is connected to the rest of the world via a modem and IP Masq. Every tiem I connect to my provider, the following message appears in ppp.log:
cannot determine ethernet address for proxy ARP Is this anything to worry about? Secondly, every now and then, the following apears in the syslog: MASQ: failed TCP/UDP checksum from xxx.yyy.www.zzz! Again, should I be worried about this, or is it just part of IP Masq? Lastly, one of my machines says the following on bootup: Partition check: hda:hda: set_multmode: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error } hda: set_multmode: error=0x04 { DriveStatusError } hda1 hda2 hda3 This doesn't sound too healthy, is it anything serious or just another wonderful misconfiguration on my part?
