The problem: ghostview and the family (gv, kghostview) show a horrible dithering and it takes forever to display even simple images. On the other hand, the windows' version of the same thing (GSview) takes just a few seconds and displays in full color (16 or 24 bit, whatever the current depth is).
The question:
a) is there a way to convince ghostview not to dither, but use full color?
or
b) is there a sensible replacement for ghostview that is functionally
similar the windows' GSview ?
