High all, I want to install a potato-system from ftp.de.debian.org via the ftp-access-method of apt. I can update the list of available packages without a problem ans select the ones I want but when I come to installing them, I get an error message like this for every package I selected (this is one example): ERROR ftp://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/dists/unstable/main/binary-i386/base/.login_980403-0.3.2.deb Unable to exec scheme /usr/lib/apt/methods/ftp
I don't understand how this can happen (and what I can do against it). So I tried the http-access-method but with the same errors. Both files are in the directory and executable. The date of these files is Nov 6 1998. Can anyone help me? -- ___o ___o ___o ___o Dieter Faulbaum _`\ <,_ _`\ <,_ _`\ <,_ _`\ <,_ ___ (_)/ (_)(_)/ (_)(_)/ (_)(_)/ (_) ___
