The best thing to use right now is the libc5 version of netscape as supplied by Netscape. The packaged version of netscape if chock full of problems that, if I understand it correctly, are largely glibc2.1 related. You'll need a few packages from the oldlibs directory ... libc5, libg++2.7, xpm4.7
I was using the 4.61 package(s), but after switching to the libc5 version I've had no more problems. You can get the libc5 version here: ftp.netscape.org/pub/communicator/4.6/english/unix/supported/linux20_libc5 Sean Pierfrancesco Caci wrote: > Ok, is there anyone actually using netscape 4.61 as provided in potato? > I only get a segfault. > If you are able to use it, what combination of > kernel/libc/what-the-hell do you have ? > > Pf >
