With the exception of being perfectly able to telnet/ftp I've had the exact same problem myself. It turned out that it was 'just' my Xserver crashing. So I'm going to ask a potentially stupid question just to make sure: You can telnet/ftp into it under normal conditions right? [snip] > Sounds like a processor overheat problem or so, I think.
