Thanks a lot!

All you've done is totally confuse me. After reading your post I checked my 
system
using G-Top and found the following numbers.

virtual size ----- 14112K
process size ---  2212K
shared size ----  1740K
resident size ---  2072K

After digesting all of that, I decided that I don't have a clue as to how much 
"real"
memory xfstt is actually using. ;-)
